What qualifies as Personal Data

Personal data are information that directly or indirectly identifies you as an individual, indirectly meaning when combined with other information, for example, your name, postal address, email address and phone number, or a unique device identifier.

Through this website, Desireinsight collects information that can specifically identify you- the user, such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address when you chose to yourself voluntarily submit the same. Desireinsight also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your Zip code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favourites. Desireinsight also automatically collects information about your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses for the purpose of maintaining quality of services and providing general statistics regarding use of the Web site. It is clarified that Desireinsight does not impose any mandatory condition for the aforesaid submission of your personal data which is voluntarily undertaken by you– the User.

Lawful Collection and Use of Personal Data Desireinsight collects and uses your personal information to operate the Desireinsight Web site and deliver the services you have requested. User information/ data collected for such purpose is never used for promoting or advertising across any given sector. The legal basis for data being processed at the receiver’s end i.e., Desireinsight end is listed as below: 1. Desireinsight has consent for the use of the User’s personal data. 2. Desireinsight needs to use the User’s personal data in order to perform its contractual obligations with respect to the User 3. Desireinsight needs to process User data to comply with its legal obligations under applicable law. 4. Desireinsight needs to process the User’s data in order to protect the User’s vital interests in terms of contractual and statutory compliance requirements.

Third Party Rights towards such Data and Data Transfer Protocols across Borders

In terms of this Privacy Policy the User can be assured that Desireinsight will protect their privacy and will not make their personal information available to anyone without obtaining the concerned User’s agreement unless it is for research purposes only or if required by law. We may also share Your Personal Information and/or social-demographic information with third party sample/market research companies (individually each a “Third Party MR Company” and collectively the “Third Party MR Companies”) for the purpose of delivering improved and better Services to you.

For example, we may partner with Third Party MR Companies to provide you with survey opportunities, and we may share your personal information with them for identifying surveys that you may be eligible for.

We may also partner with other third-party service providers to provide You customer support services, authentication services, process payments, administer our promotions etc. These Service Providers may have access to Your information in facilitating and enhancing our Services to You and may only use for such limited purposes. We do not permit our third-party service providers to use such information that we share with them for their marketing purposes or for any other purpose than in connection with the services they provide to us.

Currently we have our Data Centres located in the United States, hosted on cloud server (AWS). Desireinsight may transfer Personal Information to the United States or EU for the performance of our contractual obligations with you. Desireinsight will follow the requirements of GDPR regardless of where such Personal Information is stored or processed. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your Information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy. We will not transfer Your Personal Information without Your consent and ensure to have appropriate safeguards in place.

By using this website, the User consents to the transfer, storage, use and disclosure of their personal data among affiliated companies and non-affiliated service providers of Desireinsight, wherever located. It is clarified that Desireinsight service providers are contractually bound to respect the confidentiality of the User’s personal data.

Accuracy of Personal Data:

Desireinsight makes reasonable efforts to keep personal data in their possession or control, which is used on an ongoing basis, accurate, complete, current and relevant, based on the most recent information available. In the event the User requires any correction or update of their personal data, they may submit a request in writing to datacontroller@DesireInsight.com for making such necessary amendments or change.

Retention/Deletion of Your Personal Data:

As per existing online norms and as per general practice, Desireinsight will retain Personal Information of the User as long as the User has an account with us in order to maintain and expand our relationship and in order to have proof and evidence concerning our relationship with the User.

If the User chooses not to be contacted in future or decides not to pursue its dealings with DesireInsight, DesireInsight shall be entitled to retain such User data for ensuring that the particular User opting for such ‘do not disturb’ option is not contacted in the future by means of bulk emailing or recruiting campaigns for market research projects. Desireinsight qualifies the User’s request as consent to store their personal data for the purpose of such record keeping unless instructed otherwise.

If the User chooses to terminate relationship with Desireinsight, Desireinsight will delete all Personal Information of that particular user including any copies thereof within a time frame not exceeding 30 (thirty) days from the date of such request. In case, we are unable to delete User’s Personal Information due to technical or other reasons, Desireinsight, will apply measures to ensure that the Personal Information is blocked from any further processing until deletion is possible. This excludes the data that we are required to retain for legal and regulatory requirements.
